Knitted New Hampshire State House
View from the front. The sculpture measures 50 x 72 x 74 inches.
The completed sculpture was displayed at the State Library in Concord, NH in June 2024. The knitted and crocheted pieces were made in knitting circles around the Granite State where we talked about the mechanics of the electoral process and ways the system could be improved to ensure representation for all. You can learn about those topics here.

In this video, taken at the exhibition reception in June 2024, I spoke about the inspiration for the Knit Democracy Together project and the symbolism of the knitted sculpture.
Who Can Vote? A Brief History of Voting Rights in the U.S.
Along with the knitted sculpture, we displayed this exhibit from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
